Winnie the Pooh
I first read Pooh as a child, when my mornings were spent with the Spotted or Herbaceous Backson, and my afternoons were spent doing Nothing. It was a good book then, which I really enjoyed. -
The World of Pooh
This is the best version of Pooh. Not the contaminated Disney version by any means. This is the pure bear of little brain. This particular version is enhanced by full color paintings by Mr Shephard which will knock your socks off! -
The Complete tales of Winnie the Pooh
A. A. Milne would be proud of the interpretation of his story and characters that will always live in the forest of imagination. Ernest H. Shepard's artwork makes this adventure is a visual delight. The characters represent archetypes to which children can identify and relate. As long as there are children and parents to read to them, Winnie the Pooh will remain a favorite storybook classic. -
Disney's Winnie de Pooh: Easy-to-Read Stories
While designed for children who are just learning to read, it is also excellent for young children who can't read yet but love Winnie the Pooh. The book has large pages with colorful pictures and 1-2 sentances per page. This makes it a perfect picture book for young ones (my child is 2 1/2.) The first story about Pooh sticks matches part of the Disney Winnie-the-Pooh videos, so you can reinforce with multiple mediums. The stories make a good basis for talking about emotions, friendship and kindness to others. -
Winnie the Pooh (classics)
I am so pleased to have finally found this recording on CD! Perhaps I shouldn't admit this, but my owning the cassette recording predates my having children. The narration is perfection, and Dennis's interpretation of each of the characters is both precise and inventive. The sniggling noises (? - I honestly don't know how else to describe it) that accompany his rendering of Piglet are incredibly endearing, as are the subtle details he uses to render each old friend anew. The other notable aspect is the music that transitions between the readings -- lovely, melodic, soothing yet cheerful. -
My first Winnie the Pooh
What a pleasure to have well written poetry that appeals to my 2 year old daughter! This book is a current favorite of hers, and we read it to her every night. The classic poems by AA Milne are as appealing to me as they are to her, and the illustrations by Ernest H Shepard make me look forward to my daughter growing up with all of AA Milne's books. -
Winnie the Pooh Baby Days
I received this book as a gift when my daughter was born and I have since purchased it for 2 friends! Its cute and has room to record everything! I highly recommend it. -
Winnie the Pooh's Teatime Cookbook
I love to cook and where I work we have a yearly Tea Party in which we donate the proceeds to a local charity. I have used several of the recipes in this book and have only received rave reviews. The illustrations and poems are an extra delight. I highly recommend this book.
